Leola Chappell Williams was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Calvin Williams, Sr. Loving mother of Calvin (Lillian) Williams, Jr., Doris (Robert) Vaughn, Shirley (the late Jessie) Young, Leola (the late Robert) Heno, Harry (Marion) Williams, Sr., Larry (Ivy) Williams, Ina (LenRoyal) Maryland and the late Caleb Williams, Sr. Daughter of the late Claude Chappell, Sr. and Matilda Gorman Chappell. Sister the late Walter Chappell, Sr. and Claude Chappell, Jr. ; also survived by 26 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 96 years, a native of Oakville, La. and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, First Free Mission Baptist Church and neighboring churches; employees of Comprehension Home Health, Stat Home Health, The Medical Team and Marine Force Reserve are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at First Free Mission Baptist Church, 426 Lamarque St., New Orleans, La. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Norman N. Francis, Pastor of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
