Dorethea Barrow Smith was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Wife of the late Frank Smith, Jr. Mother of Janice Thomas, Evelyn Brown, Terry (Donna) Barrow, and Kim Barrow Jackson. Beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Alberta Barrow. Sister of Ruth (Lucious) Nowell, Helen Watkins, Julie Henry, and Patricia Barrow. Niece of Victoria Calvin, also survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 79 years a native and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Fisher Community Church, Church at New Orleans Westbank Apostolic Church, New Salem Baptist Church, Life Center Cathedral, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Fisher Community Church 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown host pastor / Rev. Quinton Barrow officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
