Deborah Butler Davis Carraby, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 6:30p.m. at West Jefferson medical Center. Deborah enlisted in the United States Army in 1976. She was employed by University Hospital until diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009. Loving mother of Kikoa (Thomas) Bienemy, Wilton, III, Wokenia, and Wokyshia Carraby. Grandmother of Akyra Pierce, Kayla Thomas, Traiona and Janiya Carraby and Kennede Bienemy. Daughter of Wilfred, Sr. and Ethel Butler. Sister of Wilfred (Karen) Butler, Janice Brown Payne and Mary Robinson. Close Friend of Tammy Brumfield, Bertha Franklin, and Edison Fleming; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends Age: 56 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Mount Calvary Church, Second St. John Baptist church and all neighboring churches; employees of University Hospital, West Jefferson Medical Center, McDonalds Food Chain and Tanya Tiny Tots Daycare are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater Mount Calvary Church, 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, La. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Elder Terry Gullage-officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
