Genevia Barnes Cross departed this life on Monday, December 27, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Pastor Eddie Cross, Jr. Loving mother of Patricia Wilson, Eddie (Suzanne) Cross, III, Kirklin (Peggy) Cross, Sr., Alfred (Ivory) Cross, Sr., Cynthia (Wesley) Jones, Hazel (Brian) Johnson, Isaiah Cross, Tomlyn (Glenn) Keller and the late Gwendolyn Kelly. Beloved daughter of the late Willie and Marienda Barnes. Sister of Ethel B. Williams and Leoneed Boudreaux. Mother in law of the late Ernest Wilson and Warren Kelly. Sister in law of Kathleen Geary, also survived by 37 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 85 years a native Belle Alliance, La. and a resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Good Hope Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Good Hope Baptist Church 2028 Weyer St. Gretna, La. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Eddie Cross, III officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.until service time at the above named church.
