Leola Manoon Declouet Green affectionately known as Mamee passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, May 23, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Green. Loving mother of Joy Rogers Smith, Anita Green (Ernest) Fisher, Doris Hopkins Martin, and Ivy Green Hickinson. Daughter of the late Helen Steib Declouet and Joseph Declouet. Caring grandmother of Lester Smith, Jr., Patricia Smith Mims, Bruce Smith, Monica Smith, Karl Fisher, Jimmie Wilson, Jr., Samuel Wilson, Peter Martin and the late Lisa Smith and Donna Fisher; also survived by 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 93 years, a native of Vacherie, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. for 57 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, La. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Father Otis W. Young-celebrant Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Cemetery- Avondale, La.
