Berrie Emanuel Maynor entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2011at 9:15p.m. Born June 24, 1950 to the union of Rhufinia McNeil Maynor and the late Nicholas Emanuel Maynor. Devoted husband of Lavern J. Maynor. Loving father of Berrie E. Manyor, Jr., and Nickeisha P. Moore. Stepfather of Rhonda D. Williams and Randolph (Faith) Duncan, Jr. Grandfather of Michael D., Michaiah N., and Haleigh N. Moore, Marci and Bria Williams, Randy, Ryan, Fallon and Ron Duncan. Brother of Owen (Teretha) McNeil, Albert (Olivia), Wade (Maretha), Nicholas R. (Glenda), Adam J. (Pam) Maynor, Ruthel Simmons and Annie West. Cherished son in law of Ellen P. Jones. Nephew of Marie Devane and Annie Lou West, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. He proudly served as a Fuel Cell repairman before being promoted to sergeant in the United States Air Force for eight years. Retired owner / operator for Venture Trucking Co. He was a member of Jazz City Corvette Club of New Orleans, La., North Gate Lodge # 576, District 14 Prince Hall Affiliated, and Jurisdiction NC. Age 60: years a native of Rose Hill, NC. and a resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Philadelphia Christian Church of Algiers, La. and neighboring churches. Members of Jazz City Corvette Club are invited to attend the visitation service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. A funeral service will be held at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 472 Well Town Rd. Rose Hill, NC on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 12:00noon Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time. Interment: Allen Chapel Community Cemetery-Rose Hill, NC.
