Samuel Wilson passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Tulane Medical Hospital. Father of Amon and Siraj Wilson born from the union with his former first wife Barbara Patin Wilson-Jones. Grandfather of Armani, Arabia, Jarvis and Samiaj Wilson. Former husband by second marriage of Schwanda Pierce. Son of the late Willie C. Wilson, Sr. and Hannah Mason Wilson. Brother of Thomas Ali (Shahidah) Nuriddin, Flowers Wilson, Willie C. (Doris) Wilson, Jr., Mable W. Bradley of Jackson, Ms., Emma Kamillyah Abdullah, Debra Wilson and the late Ruby Wilson Boston. Nephew of Grace Mason Craft and Bessie Wilson Davis. Godfather and uncle of Taahirah Nadir; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 74 years a native of Carpenter, Ms. and a resident of Marrero, La. for 62 years. Relatives and friends, also members of Masjid Bilal, Masjidur Rahim and other Islamic Communities; pastors, officers and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, White Chapel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
