Edward Johnson departed this life on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his residence. Husband of Susie Johnson and partner of Elaine Polk. Father of Patricia McQuirter, Lillie Cobb, Geniva Watson all of New Orleans, La., Rosie Polk of Baton Rouge, La., James Johnson of Picayune, Ms., David L. Polk of New Orleans, La., and David W. Polk of Lowell, Ma. Grandfather of the late Shirley McQuirter. Great grandfather of the late Devon Lewis and Joseph Lewis. Son of the late David and Rosie Johnson. Brother of Jimmy Johnson of St. Francisville, La. and the late Lucille Hillary Johnson, Beaulah Johnson, Walter Johnson, and Arthur Johnson, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 86 years a native of Woodville, Ms. and a resident of New Orleans, La. for 16 years.
