Charlene (Lene) James Brown, age 33, departed this life on Monday, February 13, 2012. Beloved wife of Kenneth Brown. Loving mother of Kenyah Jones and Kenyan Brown. Daughter of Charles James, Jr. and Elaine Helen Becnel James. Sister of Charles (Stephanie) James, III and Steven Bailey. Daughter-in-law of Sadie Brown. Sister-in-law of Edward Brown, Jr. and Eboni Brown. Aunt of Steven White, Steven D. Murphy and Edward (Trey) Brown, III. Godmother of Monique Desvignes, Shayna Cloud, Nija Bob and Destinee Bovia. Goddaughter of Walter and Joy Bowie, Frederick, Jr. and Patricia Tombar; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was a graduate of Edna Karr High School and Southern University of New Orleans with a MS degree in Criminal Justice. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Household of Faith Family Worship Church International and all neighboring churches; staff and students of The Algiers Technology Academy, O. Perry Walker High School, ITT Technology Institute, and Southern University of New Orleans; employees of Army Corps of Engineers, Southern Regional Research Laboratory, NAVO, Dream Catcher Total Care and Wal-Mart are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Household of Faith Family Worship Church International, 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, La. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery- Gretna, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
