Alex (Yaeka/Shorty) Williams, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Beloved husband of Jerry Armant Williams. Father of Lois Hall, Sabrena Williams, and Cynthia Phoenix. Son of the late Alex and Pressie Williams, Sr. Brother of Harry Williams, Sr., Carlena Lemar, and Rose Smith of Upper Marlbaro, Md. Nephew of Dorothy Williams. Father in law of Tommie Hall and Tyronne Phoenix, Sr., also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law, other relatives and friends. Age: 75 years a native of Vacherie, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of New Zion Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, Highway Baptist Church of Vacherie, La. and neighboring churches. Employees of Canon Hospice are invited to attend funeral services at New Zion Baptist Church 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, La. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev.
