Robert Leonard Cole departed this life on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence. Devoted husband of Carolyn Colin Cole. Loving father of Kevin (Yolanda), Eunice, Darryl, Shelita and Devin Cole, Jessica Hurst and the late Deidra Cole-Calvin. Stepfather of Lisa Jenkins and Matthew S. Vaughan, Sr. Son of the late Joseph Cole, Sr. and Eunice B. Cole. Loyal brother of Herbert Cole, Rose Beasley, and Eunice Haydel. Preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 great grandchild. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 72 years a native of Gretna, La. and a resident of Algiers, La Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Boynton United Methodist church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Boynton United Methodist Church, 515 Fifth St., Gretna, La. on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. K. C. Roberson-officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Christian Social Cemetery- Gretna, La.
