Janis Marie Bell-Wilson departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Beloved wife of Clarence Wilson. Loving mother of Brian Craig Bell, Michael Anthony Bell, Khaalid A. Akbar Muhammed and the late Owen Keith Griffin. Grandmother of Malik J. Muhammed, Britiannie L-M Muhammed, Lacresha Brent and Jasmin Brent. Great grandmother of Donald DJ Robinson. Daughter of the late Charles Brown and Julia M. Grant. Sister of Connie Martin, Debra Armstrong, Brenda Jones, Mary Ann Ledet, Nedra Lagarde, Marvin Jackson, Joseph Ledet, Larry Ledet, Vernon K. Ledet and the late Gloria Jean Campbell. Mother-in-law of Sherry Walker-Bell; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 64 years a native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Terrytown, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Mark Baptist Church, 1929 Huey P. Long Ave. Gretna, La. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Joseph Hampton-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
