Derrion Dondre Brown On Saturday, April 16, 2011, God sent his angles down to call home Derrion Dondre Brown. He was born on December 14, 2001 to the union of Derrick Brown and Monica Charise Brown. Derrion was nine years old. A ball of energy, Derrion was a happy, affectionate child who always had a smile to share and a hug to give. When anyone would tell Derrion that they loved him, he would often respond with I love you more. He affectionately called DeDe by all who knew and loved him. DeDe was a fourth grade student at Woodmere Elementary School. He studied Taekwondo, ran track, played soccer and baseball. He also attended Grace Baptist Academy, where he graduated Kindergarten. He loved to play video games, play on computer and watch television. His favorite shows included Avatar, Ben 10 and Bakugan. He also loved playing outside with his friends and neighbors. DeDes smile was contagious. He was full of love and truly enjoyed life. Along with family and friends, he recently celebrated his fathers birthday. He laughed and played all day long. At the end of the evening when asked if he enjoyed himself, DeDe gave a wide grin and declared that it was the best time. Those of us who knew him well can imagine him looking down at us now. He would say that it is okay to grieve, but not too long. He would say that although he was only with us for a short while, he laughed and loved and played and he really did have the best time. He was preceded in death by his aunt Pauline Brown. To cherish his memory, DeDe leaves his parents Derrick and Monica; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Ramona Bennett; his paternal grandparents Willie K. Brown, Sr. and Margaret Brown; three sisters, Yorel Antoinette Brown, Kenishia McKee, and Monae Charaye Brown; five uncles, Willie K. Brown, Jr. (Sharon Brown), Gerard Brown, Gregory Brown, Marlon Dwayne Bennett, and Domone Bennett; two aunts, Anitra Brown and Elren Brown; and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins others relatives and friends. Funeral Services and repass will be held at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, La. 70072 on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:00AM with a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
