Cedric M. Stokes entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in New Orleans, La. Beloved son of Rev. Mack Stokes, Jr. and the late Dorothy Jean Nolden Stokes. Brother of Bessie Stokes Clarks, Kelvin Jackson, Shelia (Sylvester) Fleming, Randolph (Melissa) Scott, Susan (Darryl) Mayo, Joans (Sterling) Scott Green, Anthony Stokes, Kenneth (Raynette) Scott, Rene (Rev. Dr. Melvin, III), Jones,Ferederick (Cornna) Scott, Melvilena and Linda Stokes. Loving companion of Marci Schaeffed. Best friend of Valerie Lightell and Nathan Weatherby, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 36 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Heavenly Star Missionary B.C., Second Good Shepherd B.C., and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Heavenly Star Missionary Baptist Church 1020 Cohen St. Marrero, La. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Melvin Jones, III of Second Good Shepherd B.C. and Willing Work B.C. will be officiating Wake service will be held at Heavenly Star Missionary B.C. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 8:00p.m. - Visitation will begin at 7:00p.m. at the above named church.
