Patricia Pat Burton departed this life on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Canon Hospice. Daughter of Pearlie (Herbert) Baker of Avondale, La. and the late Major Burton, Sr. Sister of Major Burton, Jr., Gilda Christoff, Carolyn Ball, Alaicia Baker, Trenace Jefferson and the late Marilyn Bold. Stepsister of Donna Baker and the late Bruce Baker. Best friend and cousin of Henry Dorsey; also survived by 3 godchildren and a host of other family and friends. Age: 64 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Baptist Church of Avondale, La. and all surrounding churches; employees of Renaissance Apartments are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Thursday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
