Dora Lee Landix Hills departed this life Thursday, February 18, 2010 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Wife of the late Nathan Hills, Jr. for 55 years. Mother of Cenovia (Henry) Kelson, Joyce Washington, Ruby (Isreal) Bennett, Cynthia (Alfred) Cain, Eartha (Lowell) Love, Debra Snyder, Valerie (Robert) Carter, Mable Hills, Antoinette (Edison) Woods, and Nathan (Chere) Hills, III. Daughter of the late Edwin Landix and Cenovia Green Landix. Sister of Ada Landix (Al) Williams, also survived by 27 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 78 years a native of Reserve, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion # 3 Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, and Macedonia Baptist Church all of Marrero, La., and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Oviedo, Fl. are invited to attend the funeral service at Little Zion # 3 Baptist Church 441 Wilson Rd. Marrero, La. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 10:30a.m. Rev. Norman Smith officiating Visitation will begin at 9:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
