Richard Armstead,Sr.went home to glory on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Loving husband of 57 years to Geraldine Frazier Armstead. Father of Phyllis A. (Payne) Rocket, Richard (Debra) Armstead, Jr., Alicia A. (Cal ) Bacchus, Yolanda A. (David) Haines, Karen A. (Bo) St.Juniors, and Kevin F. Armstead. Son of the late Richard and Annie Armstead. Brother of the late Ruby, Charles, and William (Bill), also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, in laws and friends. Age: 77 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Believers Life Family Church, Franklin Street Church of Christ, St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, and neighboring churches . Employees of Christiana and US Postal Service are invited to attend the funeral service at Believers Life Family Church, 501 LaPalco Blvd. Gretna, La. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 12:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 11:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
