Alberta Fairman Holmes departed this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at her residence. Beloved wife of the late Edward Holmes. Loving mother of Gussie (Herbert) Anderson, Charles (Linda) Holmes, Rebecca (the late Norman) Smith, Dorothy (the late David) Jumpiere, Antionette (Ethylane) Broadwater, John (Denise) Holmes, and the late Edvertis and Marie Holmes. Grandmother of Zera Nicole, Andrea, Janita, Charles, Jr., Derrick, Barry, Denerlo, Quana, Shawn, Nylan, Kaetrelle, David, Jr., Christopher, LaKeisha, Johntrice, Zarrick, Zajonna, Devonte, Jason, Delzie, Schwanell, Medan, Cymande, Kyevand, Veleaka and Andre. Daughter of the late Samuel and Marie Fairman. Sister of Minnie Goodwin and the late John and Willie Fairman; also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 86 years a native of Wesson, Ms. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Evening Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Evening Star Baptist Church 817 Grefer Ave. Harvey, La. on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Keith Paul Stewman, Host Pastor- Rev. Edward Joseph-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
