David Stevenson, Jr. departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2012 at West Florida Medical Center in Pensacola, FL. at the age of 98. He was born in Rushville, LA. and a longtime resident of Louisville, KY. Husband of the late Nellie Stevenson and Irene Stevenson. Devoted father of Rosie Wilson of Marrero, LA., Ernestine McCormick of Mobile, AL., and the late Francis Stevenson. Son of the late David and Kate Stevenson. Brother of the late Rosie (Johnny) Moiler, Clara (McVey) Butler, Mack and Ben (Marjorie) Stevenson. Father in law of the late Amos McCormick. Brother in law of Fred Higgins of Louisville, KY., and Mattie Stevenson of Belle Chasse, LA. Friend of Carroll Wilson, Sr., also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will truly be missed.
