Larry Lynn Jones, a retired United States Postal Worker and Union Steward, departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. He was a community representative with the New Orleans Regional Aids Planning Council. Beloved son of the late Oscar, Sr. and Maudra K. Jones. Loving brother of Barbara Dale of Chicago, IL, Gail W. Lloyd and Toni J. (Joseph) Rome of New Orleans, La. and the late Vernon, Ronnie and Oscar Jones. Brother-in-law of Donna C. Jones, Ella Mae Earl, Rosemary Jones and Pamela J. Landry. Devoted best friends of the late Lucious Johnson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 59 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of U.S. Postal Service, NO/AIDS Task Force, NORAPC, Odyssey House of Louisiana, Louisiana Department of Correction Probation and Parole and Carrington Place of New Orleans are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Baptist Church, 1214 South Robertson St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Willie Gable, Jr., officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m until service time at the above named church.
