Dorothy Jean Sparks Grigsby, an employee of the United States Department of Agriculture departed this life on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at her residence. Loving mother of Sharon Grigsby and the late Timothy J. Grigsby, Sr. Grandmother of Tequila Turner, Taylor Grigsby, TaJa Grigsby, Timothy J. Grigsby, Jr., Tyrin J. Grigsby and the late Tiasha T. Turner. Daughter of the late Howard and Edna Sparks. Sister of Bessie Brown, Jerrie Howard, Bernice, Valorie, Sarah, and Donice Sparks, Edna Craig, Albert, Ernest, Bertrand and Isaac, Howard and Robert Sparks. Niece of the late Charlie and Mary Johnson. Aunt of the late Terry Sparks; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and many friends. Age: 61 years a native of Waterproof, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of True Vine Baptist Church and neighboring churches. Employees of the United States Department of Agriculture/FGIS are invited to attend the Funeral Service at True Vine Baptist Church, 249 Sala Ave., Westwego, La., on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 6:00p.m. Rev. Terry Robinson, Sr.-officiating Visitation will begin at 3:00p.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Good Samaritan Cemetery, Waterproof, La.
