Bertha Toliver departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Monday, March 8, 2010. Mother of the late Walter Flemings, Sr. and Joseph Jones. Daughter of the late Tom, Sr. and Ethel Toliver. Sister of Gloria Toliver Barnett, Ferry Singleton, and the late Ethel Brown, Tom Toliver, Jr., and Edward Toliver, also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 81 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, True Vine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
