Edward (Cap) Hill, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his residence. Beloved husband of 73 years to Gertrude Farlow Hill. Devoted father of Edward (Espor) Hill, Jr., Clara L. Lewis, Arthur (Pamela) Hill, Maxcine (Maurice) Charles, Claude (Georgia) Hill, Sr., Esther (Reginald, Sr.) Walker, Lawrence (Juanita) Hill, Sr., Annette (Raymond) Campbell, Keith, Detra, and Reginald (Zabrina) Hill, Sr. and the late Jerry Lee Hill. Great grandfather of the late Jarvis Patrick. Son of the late Isaac, Sr. and Emmarett Williams Hill. Brother of Emmarett H. Skinner, Brenda Hill Doty, Hersey (Mattie) Hill, Richard (Lillie) Hill, Darren (Daphne) Crockett, Linnester (Bobbie) Crockett, and the late Harry ONeal, Isaac, Jr., Moses, Sr., Joish, Sr., Henry, Nathaniel, Thomas, Sr., and Aaron Hill, Annie H. England, and Bertha H. Brown. Father in law of Yvonne (Oscar)Weber, Melinda Hill, and Margaret Mays, and the late Stanford Lewis, Sr. Friend of Murphy Prevost, also survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren whom he adored, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 93 years a native of Waterproof, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. for the past 35 years. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches. Employees of Hunt Wesson Foods are invited to attend the funeral service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 1419 4th St. Westwego, La. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Woodrow Hayden officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
