Joseph (Boodie) Skinner, III went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2011at 4:58p.m. at West Jefferson Medical Center. Husband of Joelle Jessie Skinner. Father of JoQuelle Skinner, Shericka Davis, DaJonique Joseph, Denzel Roy, JoQuez Floyd, Joemone Bratton and Jamyri Green. Son of Willie B. (Raymond) Coster and Joseph (Ethel) Skinner, Jr. Grandson of the late Bernice Wallace, Rosie L. Payne, Clarence Collins, John Booker, Sr., and Joseph Skinner, Sr. Great grandson of the late Jerry and Gussie Wallace. Brother of Rhonda Skinner, Toinedra and Jernell Payne, Stacy (Anton) Jones, and Lakeidra (James) Stewart. Nephew of the late Jerry, Alvin, and Jessie Wallace. Son in law of Joseph Jessie, Sr. and the late Lillian Tillman Jessie. Grandson in law of Rosalie Common and Verona Tillman. Brother in law of Joseph, Jr., John (Trenell), and Julian (Leslie) Jessie. Cousin of the late Byron Wallace, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Age: 41 years a native New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church, Third Emanuel Baptist Church, Heavenly Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches. Employees of JCHCC, McDonalds, Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, J. P. Sewerage Dept., Higher Heights, and DMW Contractors of Virginia are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 701 Huey P. Long Ave. Gretna, La on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Noily Paul, Jr. officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
