Dennis Charles Holmes, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 10:35a.m. Husband of Julia Holmes. Father of the late Shalonda Oliver-Thomas. Grandfather of Anthony Oliver. Stepfather of Peaches Renee Collins and Precious Diane Collins. Son of the late Dennis Charles Holmes, Sr. and Fannie Mae Holmes. Half-brother of Michael Holmes (Audrey). Nephew of Beatrice Daniel Battle and Robert Daniel; also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 64 years a native of Waterproof, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of family, former co-workers, also pastors, officers, and members of United Christian Fellowship Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 1:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30p.m., until service time at the above named parlor.
