John Simmons, III

John Buddy Simmons, III entered into eternal life with God on Thursday, February 24, 2011. Loving husband of Betty Lynn Stewart Simmons. Devoted father of Lena Robinson. Son of the late John Simmons, Jr. and Leola Smash Simmons. Brother of Larry Simmons, Leona Shirley Preatto, and the late Clarence E. Simmons, Annabel Robinson, Lilly M. and Phyllis Simmons. Brother in law of Bishop Ronnie R. (Joyce) Stewart, Sr., Marlene Birden, and Nedra Jackson, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 74 years a native of Crown Pointe, La. and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Ministries and neighboring churches. Employees of U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Divine Purpose Home Care, Total Home Care, and Concerned Care Hospice are invited to attend the funeral service at Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Ministries 505 Kepler St. Gretna, La. on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11:00a.m. Bishop Ronnie R. Stewart, Sr. officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Greater St. John B.C. Cemetery-Barataria, La.
