Herman Wesley Gibson

Herman Wesley Gibson entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at his residence. Beloved husband of the late Marcelean R. Gibson for 45 years. Father of Woodrow M. (Barbara) Gibson. Grandfather of Schleef Locure, and Woodrow Gibson, Jr. Great grandfather of Desi, Desiree, and Dawanna Locure. Great great grandfather of Desi, Sierra and Thija Locure. Son of the late Luvella and Arthur C. Gibson. Brother of the late William C., Irwin C., Vernon L., Warren G. Gibson, and Juanita Pearl. 1 dedicated niece Elaine Davis. Faithful and dedicated caregiver Donna M. Burke, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Herman was a faithful member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church. He served diligently in the United States Air Force. Herman will be remembered for his unfailing sense of humor, strength, and compassion. Age: 92 years a native and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephens Missionary, First Free Mission, Olive Branch, and Beulah Baptist Churches, and neighboring churches.
