Wilmer Earl Landix, a retired employee of Avondale Shipyard, departed this life on Friday, September 9, 2011 at his residence. Loving father of Miranda Landix Coleman, and Quinesa Jones. Grandfather of Roniece A. Wright, Briesha, Carvalel, and Ayeona Jones and Byron Duckett, Jr. Father-in-law of Louis Coleman, Jr. Son of the late Ellis, Sr. and Edna Landix. Brother of Patricia Smith, Victoria Landix, Enez Patin, Joyce Moore, Ellis, Jr., Clarence, Eddie and Nathan Landix and the late Darrel Landix. Age: 60 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a lifelong resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, Abundant Faith Christian Center and all neighboring churches; employees of Peoples Health, BMA Marrero Dialysis Center, and West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave., Marrero, La. on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
