Lashanda Panuke Shevon Batiste, a member of Pathways, departed this life on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. Beloved daughter of Michele Rollins Batiste and Kevin Batiste, Sr. Stepdaughter of Debra Batiste. Granddaughter of Alice Rollins and Bruce Rollins, Sr. Great-granddaughter of Vivian McGraw and Arthur Kelly, Sr. Sister of Dontwell, Kevin, Jr., George, and Troy Batiste. Goddaughter of Clarence Batiste, Jr.; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 24 years a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Avondale, La., until Hurricane Katrina relocated her to Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La., on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
