Annie Mae Burks

Annie Mae Burks departed this life on Saturday, March 27, 2010. Loving mother of Evane R. Brown and the late Shirley R. Brown. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. She will be missed by brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Mama Burks retired from Prayer Tower Rest Home after many years of service. She was an avid Christian and a faithful member of Thompson Temple who loved family and friends. Age: 79 years a native of Drew, Ms. and a longtime resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Thompson Temple COGIC and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Thompson Temple COGIC, 1515 Whitney Ave., Gretna, La. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
