Jules ( Poppa Anderson) Anderson Jr., received his wings on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 5:30a.m.Former husband of the late Beatrice Jones Anderson. Husband of Alberta Hampton Anderson. Father of Oscar Kelly Anderson, Sr. James Phillip (Patrice) Anderson, Sr., Marva A. (James) Trufant, Beverly A. (Oliver) Hill, Patricia A. Ether, Katricia A. Franklin, Mac (Johaun) Osborne, Reginald and Lovie Osborne, and the late Jules Anderson, III and Charlotte Hampton. Son of the late Jules and Henerietta Black Anderson. Brother of Dorothy (Lawrence) Dugay, and the late Isiah and Walter Anderson, Margarite Mitchell, Nancy Castell, Heneritta Moliere, Mary Fields, and Deloris Paul, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 3 god children, and a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Age: 92 years a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches of Plaquemines Parish. Employees of Plaquemines and Orleans Parish School Board, Algiers Charter School Association (O. Perry Walker), Chevron, Harvest State, Canon Hospice, Conoco Phillips, and Quality Metal Works, are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church 14747 Highway 23 Belle Chasse, La. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Joseph A. Brooks, Sr. Officiating Viewing of remains on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the above named church.
