Lillie Scott Silas departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Monday, March 28, 2011. Wife of the late Emile Silas. Beloved mother of John Scott. Mother in law of Carol Moore Scott of Fort Washington, Maryland. Grandmother of Courtney Scott Eubanks of Largo, Maryland. Great grandmother of Dennis Allen Brewer of Morganfield, Kentucky. Daughter of the late Mose and Ophelia Scott. Sister of Louise S. Riley, Ophelia S. (Thomas) Hawkins, Delores Scott, Eva S. Gallin, Celeste P. (Felton) Ruth, Melvina P. Scott, Louis (DGwen) Scott, Sidney Penny, and the late Beatrice Scott, Juanita Scott Langston, Lucy Scott Thompson Steib, Mose, and Lawrence Scott. Niece of the late Rev. Dr. Haywood Custer, also survived by 21 nieces, 27 nephews, and a host of great, great- great, great-great- great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 87 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a longtime resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
