Gladys Refuge peacefully departed this life as she was surrounded and embraced in love by her children on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 8:48a.m. Loving mother of Leonard Johnson, Jr., Barbara Ross, Malonia (Warren Poncho ) Smith, Evelyn (David) Green, Stephanie Johnson, Felicia (Kermit) Henry, Shondrecca Johnson (Richard) Taylor and the late Whitney Lil Whitney Simeon, Jr., Eric Johnson, and Pearl Simeon Johnson. Stepdaughter of the late Julia Murray. Daughter of the late Warren Refuge, Sr. and Estelle Blackledge Refuge. Sister of Johnell Lucas and the late Joyce Refuge Thomas, Marion Refuge Davis, Dorothy Mae Martin, Helen Ricard, Estelle Shirley Casimier, Audrey Mae Refuge, Janelle Refuge, Warren Chico Refuge, Jr., Lawrence Lump Refuge, Sherman Rags Refuge, Lawrence Cricket Refuge, Raymond Refuge, and Stanley Refuge. Love of her life Leonard Johnson, Sr., also survived by 32 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives church family and friends.
