Jerry Augustine, a self- employed taxi cab driver for over 40 years departed this life Tuesday, September 25, 2012 peacefully at his residence. Father of Lieutenant Colonel Cathy Walter, Kiesha Harris, Kathlyn Locke, Niya Monroe, June Hollins Pierre, Jude, Jonathan, Darrin, and Kevin. Father in law of Terrance, Cleaven, and Henry. Brother of Michael, Gloria, and Sandy and the late Edna, Mauricelyn, Barbara, Maurice, Delores Sally , Charles, and Joseph Buster . Brother in law of Latonya Augustine. Special friend, companion and care giver Rose Parsee, also survived by 26 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 72 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
