George Briscoe

Rev. George Briscoe, a retired custodian supervisor for Jefferson Parish School Board for 37 years entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at JoEllen Smith Convalescent Center. Husband of the late Sylvia Crutchfield Briscoe. Father of Rev. Timothy (Pearl) Briscoe, Leroy Williams, Tyrone Briscoe, Vera (Earl) Little and the late Curtis Williams. Son of the late Adam and Laura Steward Briscoe. Brother of Dorothy Briscoe Edwards and the late Albert Williams, Samuel Briscoe, Sidney Briscoe, Solomon Briscoe, Joseph Briscoe, Rose Briscoe Dave, and Ella Briscoe, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. Age: 95 years a native of White Castle, La. and a resident of Bridge City, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; Westside Missionary Baptist Association and Ideal Missionary Baptist Association are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 1124 Leboeuf St. Algiers, La. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
