Dolores Newerls-DeJean was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 8:00a.m. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Ferdinand DeJean. Loving mother of Donald Newerls, Sr., Erroll Newerls, Marcedes (Ira) Scott, Donna (Mark, Sr.) Perry, Rachel Harrison, Terry Lee Newerls, Gesielle Newerls, Taisha (Merlin, Jr.) Dussuau and the late Elliott Newerls, Wanda Washington, and LaWanda Newerls. Adopted mother of Donnie (Sharon) Small, Sr. Grandmother of Donald (Lizeth) Newerls, Jr., Michael Newerls, Thomas (Mallory) Tunson, ReAnn Hooker, Brandy Perry, Mark Perry, Jr. , Doris Dolores Perry, Lance (Jahan) Geary, Tonya (Jerry) Mosley, Lynell Johnson, Kelvin Harrison, Jr. Kenyatta Harrison, Shantrice (Roushon) Edwards, Eldridge (Rebecca) Laurent, Crystal Laurent, Nigel Brown, Gabriel Newerls, Tyriq Dussuau and Xzavier Dussuau. Daughter of the late Rev. John S. Duncan, Sr. and Carrie Shields. Sister of Gloria Duncan, Johnese Cannady and the late Dr. Alma Alexander and Marion Duncan. Devoted friend of Viola (Carl, Sr.) Hendricks; also survived by 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 80 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Shiloh Baptist Church, First Free Mission B. C., Mt. Vernon B. C., First Agape B. C., New Home Family Worship Center of Houston, Tx., Greater New Birth B. C. of Plano, Tx., priest and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church and all neighboring churches; faculty and staff of Blutcher Enterprise, employees of River Region Hospices House and Heart of Hospice are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Shiloh Baptist Church, 723 Magellan St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ernest London, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
