Lee Douglas Birdeye Hawkins, Sr. departed this life on Monday July 11, 2011. Husband of Earline Bernard Hawkins. Father of Lee Douglas Hawkins,Jr., Tahj Hawkins, and Treyvel Williams, Ebony Sadai Hawkins, and Lashae Williams. Grandfather of Paris and Aleecia. Son of Claudia Hawkins and Lee Douglas Parker. Grandson of the late Eli Slim Hawkins, Sr. and Eloise Miller Hawkins . Brother of Gregory Hawkins, Pamela, Demetris, and Glenda and the late Edward Hawkins, Sr. and Cedric Hawkins. Nephew of Carrie Hawkins, Lula Hawkins, Loucelle Hawkins, and Viola Hawkins, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friend. Special thanks to the staff at University Hospital and Touro Infirmary. Age: 44 years a native of Westwego, La. and a resident of Marrero, La.
