Shawna Marie Girod, a cashier at McDonalds Restaurant in Avondale, La., departed this life on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Devoted mother of Horlum Odom. Beloved daughter of JoAnn Girod and Shawn Carter. Granddaughter of the late Wilton Girod, Sr. Sister of Courtney and Carrione Girod, Angelissa and Angelo Burns, and Kalieb Davis. Companion of the late Willie Odom, also survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 19 years a native of Marrero, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services from Westwego Church of God In Christ 130 Louisiana St., Westwego, La. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the above named church.
