Dorothy Vincent Ruth departed this life on Saturday, July 9, 2011. She was born April 18, 1936 in Thomaston Ga. and was a lifelong resident of Harvey, La. Wife of the late Hayward Pete Vincent, Jr. by first marriage and the late Hillary Ruth, Sr. by second marriage. Loving mother of Michael, Jeffery and Hayward Vincent, III. Daughter of the late James Nathan and Rebecca Quiller. Sister of the late Annie Kate Carthon; also survived by 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was employed as a nursing assistant with Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and member of New Home Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Home Ministries, 331 Opelousas St., Algiers, La. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Viewing of remains will be held at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Friday, July 15, 2011 from 4p.m.-7p.m. Rev.
