SANDERS Mark Otis Sanders, Sr. departed this life on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 10:30 p.m. at the tender age of 57. Son of Merine and the late Southern Sanders. Father of Mark Otis (Herchelle) Sanders, Jr., Dominic (Candice), Eric (Sylvia) Sr., Rodney and Henry Banks, the late Marcus, Xavier and Jerome Banks. Brother of Paulette (Sylvester) Davis, Jeanette Brooks of Toledo, Ohio, Gwendolyn Sanders, Terry Lee (Betty) Sanders, Sr. of Ruskins, FL, Karl Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the late Willard, Elwin, and Floyd Sanders. Brother-in-law of Gail and Mary Sanders. Devoted friend of Constance Banks and Ruby Bailey. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ and all neighboring churches; and employees of Jefferson Parish Water Department are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acres Road, Marrero, LA. Rev. Dr. Gilbert L. Barnes, Host Pastor and Rev. Gregory Davis, officiating. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. until service time. Interment: Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
