Edwin Ray Billy

Edwin Billy Ray Billy entered his eternal resting place on Monday, July 18, 2011. Billy attended L.B. Landry High School and Southern University. He did two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a decorated war hero. Son of the late Gertie Mae (Billy) Williams and James Billy, Sr. Stepson of Phillip Williams. Father of Kheri (Edward) Phillip and Kniki Billy; as well as their mother Karlette Billy. Fianc of Valencia Delair and surrogate father of her two children, Quinada (Melvin) Ruffin and Shad Smith, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 63 years a native of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
