John (Zeus) Byrd the Lord called him home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Loving son of John Murphy and Tina Byrd. Grandson of Geraldine Byrd , Carolyn Murphy, and the late Johnny Byrd and John Marks. Brother of Blair and Asia Byrd, India and Indiana Jasmine, Don Murphy, Hassan and Dave Byrd, Shawn Murphy, and Lewee Petty. Nephew of Jacqueline (Queban) Byrd Lee, Jessica Sails, Tara (Mark) Houston, and Keisha Murphy. Devoted companion of Kiera Boudion. Best friend Edward (Fresh) Coleman, Reginald Francois, and the late Tory Ward, and Laval London, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 21 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, La. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
