Roslyn Rose Nisby Hall was welcomed into Gods heavenly kingdom on Thursday, May 6, 2011. Rose, age 80, is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Leroy J. Hall of Maringuoin, LA. She was a native of Gibson, LA, a graduate of Booker T. Washing ton High School in New Orleans, LA, a dedicated member of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, KPC Ladies Auxiliary Ct. 267, and resided in Marrero, LA until her faithful departure. She leaves to cherish her Precious memories, her devoted daughter, Winifred Winnie Ann Dixon, her granddaughter, Damika Dixon Tanner, Three great-granddaughters who dearly loved their MawMaws gravy and rice, Jordan Simmons, Phallon and Breanna Tanner, one sister and three brothers. She also leaves behind one step-daughter, Bobbie Hall Long and her 7 beautiful sons and daughters, 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, step-sisters, and other relatives and dear, dear friends whom she fed very well. Friends and family are invited to begin visitation at 9:00AM on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Boulevard, Marrero, LA, with Mass of Christian Burial, Celebrant, Father Otis W. Young, Jr., beginning promptly at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale, LA. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate non-perishable food items or monetary donations to the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Food Pantry. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
