Kwame Joseph Huntington-Foster

Kwame Joseph Christopher Huntington-Foster went home to God on February 10, 2011 surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 31. He died of natural causes after living with Muscular Dystrophy since birth. Kwame was born on March 6, 1979 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the son of Stephen and Joycelyn Foster and was the birth son of Charles Huntington. He was the brother of Anjanlyn Angel Garrett and Brother-in-law of Michael Garrett, Sr. He was the loving uncle of Micha Garrett, Michael Garrett, II and Matthew Garrett. Kwame was the first grandson of Yvonne J. Perrette and Joseph B. Daniels. He was also the grandson of Delphenie Hollins Butler, the late Joshua Butler and William Foster. He will also leave to mourn, Estella Reid, dedicated and loving friend. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Greater King Solomon Baptist Church, 3305 Audubon Street, New Orleans, LA 70125. Rev. John T. White is Pastor and Officiant. Viewing and Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. " 10:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private burial with invited family and friends. An invitation is extended to all family and friends and classmates from the University of the Virgin Islands-Governor Dr. Charles Turnbul; Tulane University Alumni; Southern University at New Orleans Alumni, Kiwanis Club, New Orleans Police Department, Department of Health, Virgin Islands National Guard, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Jazz Foundation of America; Mid-City Full Arts Workshop; and The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and Festival. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Huntington Hope and Faith Foundation 501 (c)3 tax-exempt for Terminally ill children and Others to Live.
