Shannon Joseph Tassin, Jr

Shannon Joseph Tassin Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the age of 30. He was born November 1,1981 in New Orleans La. Shannon was reared in St. Charles and Jefferson Parishes, attended West Jeff. H.S. and is a graduate of L.W. Higgins H.S. He also faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a supply technician. He was later employed as a tugboat operator for several years. He was currently employed at Turn Services INC.. Shannon is survived by his beloved children; Skylar Jaleh' and Shannon Jo'quin Tassin. His devoted parents Pastor Terry Gullage Sr. and Lady Cassandra Gullage. Biological father, Shannon Tassin Sr.. Two brothers Sedrick Lyvelle Tassin and Terry Gullage Jr. and one sister Tantalane Tassin and a fiancé Jowanna M. Smith. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Jeffie Calhoun and Richard Miller. He leaves to cherish his memories his grandparents, Gloria Calhoun Miller, Albertha Gullage and Phillip Gullage Sr. A host of uncles and aunts; Theresa(Sherman)Bailey, Kenneth(Torey)Calhoun, Angela(Udonavan)Walker, Antoinette(Tony) English,Janice(Brian)Smothers, Tracy (Derick) Taylor, Tonya Calhoun, Richard Bell, Betty (Harry) Jessie, Phillip (Barbara) Gullage, Jr., Ronald (Marshall) Gullage, Donald (Valerie) Gullage, Gail (Leonard) Watkins, Cheryl (Michael) Proctor, Ernest (Wendy) Gullage, Vanessa (Greggory) Pierre, Tanya (Clarence) Patterson, Anthony (Stephanie) Gullage, and Dana (John Jr.) Richardson. Godparents, Adrain Smith and Cherlyn Rogers, two God-sisters, Brittany Taylor and DeJean' Bell. He will be fondly remembered by several cousins, relatives and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shannon's Home-going Celebration on Sat. December 3, at 10:00am held at Greater Mount Calvary Church 1600 Westwood Drive, Marrero LA., Elder Terry Gullage Sr. Pastor. Visitation will be from 8:00am -10:00am. Officiating: Bishop Tommie L. Triplett Jr.. Interment will follow in Restlawn Park, 4040 Hwy 90, Avondale, La.. Professional Services Entrusted to Davis Mortuary Services, 230 Monroe St. Gretna LA.
