Joseph Aggie (Wang) Hammond, Sr. departed this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Husband of Rosetta Rogers Hammond. Father of Nova H. Louis, Joseph Hammond, Jr., Glen Ether and Diane Ayro and the late Rita Hammond Forman and Vernita F. Ether. Son of the late Cora Woods and August Hammond. Grandfather of the late Travis Fazande and DreShonda Hammond. Father in law of Richard J. Forman and the late Spencer J. Louis. Brother in law of Hazel Davis, Willie Mae Davis, Alexander, Edward, and Ruby Rogers and Gladys R. Tigler. Preceded in death by 13 sisters and brothers, also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 91 years a native of Westwego, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Baptist Church # 3 and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Little Zion Baptist Church # 3 441 Wilson Rd. Marrero, La. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:00a.m Rev. Norman Smith III officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
