Lorraine Hughes was called home on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at her residence. Beloved companion of James Wallis. Loving mother of Margaret Francois, Deborah (David, Sr.) Washington and Demetria (Grant) Anderson. Daughter of the late Edward Hughes and Frances Murray Gray. Sister of Dorothy Champagne, Irma Cook and the late James Sly, Sr., Verdell Hughes, and Phillip Gray; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 sisters in law, 2 brothers in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 72 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Westwego, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, offices, and members of True Vine Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at True Vine Baptist Church 249 Sala Ave. Westwego, La. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Terry L. Robinson officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
