Nathaniel Sing Singleton, Jr., departed this life on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 8:00a.m., at West Jefferson Medical Center. Husband of Diane Firven Singleton. Father of Sussanne Singleton, Denise (Michael) Gray, Linda (Carzell) Williams and Nathaniel (Kim) Singleton, III. Son of the late Nathaniel Singleton, Sr. and Rosetta Brandon Singleton. Brother of Betty Singleton (the late Rev. Isaac, Sr.) Smith, Rudolph S. (the late Margie) Singleton, Stanley Singleton, and the late Murphy (Lorraine) Singleton, Morris Palmer and Jessina Singleton Clark. Brother-in-law of Brenetta Firven, Isaih (Pam) Firen, Jr., Leon (Jackie) Firen, Michael Firven and Geraldine F. (Brian) Obure, also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 64 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family also, pastors, officers and members of Second St. John Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Second St. John Baptist Church, 242 Avondale Garden Rd., Avondale, La. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Charlie Davis-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
