Donald Hudson

Donald (Joe) Hudson, a retired employee of Price Pipeline, departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Canon Hospice. He was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School and served in the United States Army. Donald loved singing songs of praise and was a member of the Golden Tones Gospel Group. Joe as he was affectionately called by family and friends was a man that always gave of himself, loved his family very much and enjoyed fishing. Beloved son of the late Willie Hudson and Mariah Duckett Hudson. Loving brother of Lillie Bell Johnson. Uncle of Ivan Johnson and Gannon Johnson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Age: 74 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Progressive Baptist Church, 437 Cohen St. Marrero, La. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
