Husband of the late Martha Ann Ellis Barnes. Father of Herbert (Archielynn) Barnes, III. Proud grandfather of Herbert Barnes, IV and Herbriana Barnes. Acknowledged father of Terrance White. Son of the late Herbert Barnes, Sr. and Julia Carter Barnes. Brother of Barbara Ann Barnes, Lenovia Barnes (Marshall) Sears, Julia Loynetta Barnes, Helen Barnes (Rev. Booker T., Jr.) Collor, Irvin Oliver Barnes and the late Geraldine Verdine Barnes and Jerry ONeal Barnes. Godson of Geneva Cross; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 62 years a native and residence of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th St., Gretna, La., on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11:00a.m. Rev.
